Pampos Ventures is an angel syndicate focused on early-stage investments in Education, Healthcare and Sustainability. Pampos Ventures is a trading name of Pampos Advisory Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16787781 and registered office at The Old Bakery, 90 Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells, England, TN1 2QP. (“we”, “us”, “our”).

For the purposes of UK data protection law (including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018), Pampos Advisory Limited is the data controller of your personal data.

2. What personal data we collect

The personal data we collect will depend on how you interact with us. It may include:

Free newsletter subscribers

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Country/region (if you choose to provide it)

  • How you heard about Pampos Ventures (if you choose to provide it)

Full Syndicate Members and prospective members

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Contact details (e.g. phone number, city/country of residence)

  • Basic investor profile information (e.g. whether you currently angel invest, typical ticket size, areas of interest)

  • Information relating to your investor status (e.g. that you meet self-certified sophisticated investor / high-net-worth criteria under UK rules – we do not ask for bank statements or tax returns, only your declarations)

  • Records of communications between you and us (emails, meeting notes)

  • Information about your participation in deals (e.g. which SPVs you invest in, allocation, ticket size) where this is shared with us by you or our platform partners

Founders and company contacts

  • Name and contact details of founders and team members

  • Role, background and other information you choose to share in pitch decks, emails, calls and meetings

Website and digital interactions

  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, approximate location, and pages visited (via cookies and analytics tools)

  • Your responses to online forms and surveys

3. How we collect your data

We collect personal data when:

  • You sign up to the free newsletter

  • You complete the Full Syndicate Member sign-up form

  • You communicate with us by email, phone or via platforms such as Odin

  • You attend calls, webinars or events hosted by Pampos Ventures

  • You send us pitch materials or other information about a company

  • You visit our website and consent to cookies or similar technologies

We may also receive limited personal data from third parties such as:

  • Syndicate platforms (e.g. Odin) in relation to your investments

  • Founders who provide us with contact details of potential investors or advisers

  • Public sources such as LinkedIn or Companies House

4. How we use your personal data and lawful bases

We use your personal data for the following purposes and on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:

a) Free newsletter

  • To send you our newsletter and high-level updates.

    • Lawful basis: Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

b) Full Syndicate Members

  • To process your Full Membership application, including confirming your investor status category.

    • Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (operating an angel syndicate in compliance with UK financial promotion rules).

  • To manage your Full Syndicate Membership, including:

    • sending deal invitations and related materials;

    • sending Members’ newsletters and portfolio updates;

    • communicating about allocations, timelines and closing mechanics.

    • Lawful basis: Contract (providing membership/admin services you have requested) and legitimate interests (running the syndicate and communicating effectively with members).

  • To keep appropriate records of your membership and deal participation.

    • Lawful basis: Legitimate interests and legal obligation (where we must keep certain records for tax, regulatory or accounting purposes).

c) Founders and company contacts

  • To review and evaluate potential investment opportunities.

  • To communicate with you about diligence, structuring and potential investment by the syndicate.

    • Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (assessing and executing early-stage investments).

d) Operating our website and communications

  • To operate and improve our website, understand which content is most useful and prevent abuse or security issues.

    • Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (running and improving our site and services) and, where required for non-essential cookies, consent.

e) Legal and regulatory obligations

  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations and guidance (for example, responding to lawful requests from authorities, keeping appropriate business records, or fulfilling our tax obligations).

    • Lawful basis: Legal obligation.

5. Who we share your personal data with

We share personal data only where necessary and proportionate, for example with:

  • Service providers who help us operate our business, such as:

    • email marketing and CRM tools (e.g. newsletter providers)

    • form and database tools (e.g. Airtable, Google Forms)

    • cloud hosting and IT support providers

  • Investment platforms we use to execute deals (e.g. Odin), where you choose to participate in a deal and your data is required to set you up on the relevant structure

  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants or compliance advisers, where needed for advice or governance

  • Regulators or public authorities where required by law

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Where service providers are based outside the UK/EEA, we take appropriate steps to ensure your data is adequately protected, for example using contracts based on standard data protection clauses approved by the UK authorities.

6. How long we keep your data

We only keep your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Factors we consider include:

  • How long you remain a newsletter subscriber or Full Syndicate Member

  • Whether you have participated in deals (where we may need to retain certain records for a number of years for tax and regulatory reasons)

  • Any applicable limitation periods for legal claims

When personal data is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal data, including the right to:

  • Access your personal data and receive a copy

  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data

  • Erase your data in certain circumstances (“right to be forgotten”)

  • Restrict or object to certain types of processing

  • Data portability in certain circumstances (to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format)

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (for example, for the free newsletter). Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
